1. Please be mature. We don't have an age limit, but if you're immature, then do not join. There's bound to be all sorts of plot involving sex, lies, cheating, rape, whatever. We would prefer our players to be mature enough to handle this kind of thing.
2. No internet slang.
3. No god modding
4. Do what a mod asks/says. Disobeying will probably earn you two strikes, rather than one.
5. Don't let your OOC drama leak through your characters. If you're fighting with a player OOC and your characters are best friends, try to keep things calm there, we don't want random fighting because you're mad at another player.
6. We accept shipping, smut, whatever, but keep it realistic. Luna and Neville probably won't be caught screwing like bunnies in the trophy room. Sex can happen, but whoring out is just unacceptable.
7. The Room of Requirement is only known by so many people. The DA should know of it and the Inquisitorial Squad probably knows.
8. Hiatus Policy: All hiatuses must be cleared with the mod first and foremost. They can last up to a week, after that you're hiatus will be up and you'll be expected to post either a thread or a journal entry for your character(s). If you would like an extension on your hiatus, please contact a mod and ask. Each player must be active for three consecutive weeks after taking a hiatus before they can take another one. While this may seem harsh, it's what keeps the game active.
9. Journal names should have something to do with the character. Only one underscore is allowed and no x's, unless it's in your characters name.
10. Four character limit. This means you can have one in every house.
11. PB's are to be realistic. This also means that icons are to be plain, non bordered and not over contrasted. It's distracting when trying to post. Your PB should have a good amount of facial expressions, not just one or two, if they only have two, they will be denied. CLEAR, PLAIN icons are preferred! Check our resources if you need ideas.
12. We're going to really enforce the activity rule. Please do a thread once every two weeks at least and update your journal every five days. That should give your character enough time to do something. We really love activity.
13. AIM is required for the game so we can contact you.
14. No one's character here is 'The Exception'. Normal things happen to these people just like everyone else, so don't make your characters better than everyone elses.
15. Our most important rule: please have fun. This plot is dealing with the daily lives of students at Hogwarts. Some days will be better than the rest, yes, but we still encourage the friendships of students and the rivalries between houses.
16. Try not to exhaust certain character types. Not all Ravenclaws are going to be geeky, not all Slytherin's sleep with everyone. Sure, it happens, but having a whole house full of characters who have sex with each other is a little ridiculous.
